Our PE plans have evolved over the past twelve years using the experience and knowledge of the coaches and the schools that we have worked with from Nurseries, Primary, PRU schools and NHS hospitals. The plans that we have written include ideas from the very best practice over the past years, using the old and new curriculum objectives which we have turned into easy to use and understand plans, working with Val Sabin’s training and plans to identify the best for the children when they are in a PE lesson.

To ensure that the children always receive the very best sessions from our staff we work tirelessly to ensure that all of our coaches are trained and qualified to the highest standards required to meet the requirements of schools.

To ensure that we continue to meet these high standards, every end of term we undertake professional training from various agencies and externally recognised awarding bodies: We monitor and observe all our coaches at least once a fortnight and use this knowledge to develop the next steps for our staff and address these in our in house CPD sessions, which are run throughout the school holidays.

Our Physical Education Lessons are planned to ensure the highest level of teaching and learning and to make sure every child succeeds in every session that we teach. Every term the children will experience different games and sports accordance to our curriculum which is based on the National Curriculum with clear progression and differentiation of skills.

Our P.E lessons are planned to ensure children are able to express themselves, develop their sporting skills and competitiveness, have fun and stay fit and healthy.

Our latest course was paediatric first aid and have over the past 3 years undergone various CPD training through the school breaks to update and develop the skills and knowledge to deliver high quality PE, all coaches adhere to safeguarding procedures when working at SSA. We hold our own central record, personal ID sheets which are all sent to the school directly when working on the school premises.

Our lead team members currently on our final stages of Val Sabin’s Specialism in PE course for the Team at SSA.
